Actor I Motivational Speaker I Host I Youth Empowerment Facilitator
At 16, Alimi Ballard walked into Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center in The Bronx, an encounter that transformed his life. Once on a path of aimlessness, he found mentorship, kindness, and purpose through the power of the arts. That experience instilled in him a lifelong commitment to empowerment and advocacy, shaping both his career and personal mission.
With over 30 years in television and film, Ballard has built a remarkable career. He is celebrated for his role as Dr. Robert Dubois on Ava DuVernay’s acclaimed series Queen Sugar and is widely recognized as Marcel Dumas on Netflix’s hit Queen of the South. His breakout role came as Frankie Hubbard on the ABC daytime drama Loving, followed by a leap of faith to Los Angeles, where he landed the beloved role of The Quizmaster on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. However, it was his six-season run as Special Agent David Sinclair on Numb3rs that remains his mother’s favorite. Most recently, he delivers powerhouse performances as attorney Ron Delahunt on NBC’s Law & Order.
Beyond acting, Ballard remains dedicated to uplifting communities. He hosts empowerment workshops, supports nonprofits, and uses his platform to champion advocacy and allyship. His journey—from performing in libraries and detention centers to transforming lives through storytelling—fuels his passion for inspiring hope, perseverance, and purpose in the next generation.
